For the past 5 years I’ve had the thrill of being an affiliate director of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the longest and largest running program for creative teenagers. Tonight was the national ceremony held at Carnegie Hall. Seeing all those young people gathered, getting recognized for their talents was an awesome sight. But it must be really dusty in Carnegie. It would explain why a tough guy like me had watery eyes.
